Johanson Technology nRF51822 and nRF51422 Front-End Passive is a 6-pin EIA 0603 ceramic passive device for the Nordic Semiconductor nRF51822 and nRF51422 System on Chip devices (QFN versions). This Johanson front-end passive contains an embedded, specifically designed Band Pass Filter (BPF) to pair with the nRF chipsets for FCC/ETC (+Korea, Japan, China) emissions compliance. This device considerably reduces implementation size area, eliminates RF variability (100% RF tested before T&R), and offers excellent temperature stability (4ppm).

Nordic Semiconductor nRF51422 ANT+ SoC
Nordic Semiconductor nRF51422 ANT+ System on Chip delivers ANT+ and 2.4GHz ultra low-power functionality for wireless applications. Nordic Semiconductor nRF51422 ANT+ SoC is built around a 32-bit ARM® Cortex™ M0 CPU with 256KB flash + 16KB RAM. The embedded 2.4GHz transceiver supports ANT as well as proprietary 2.4GHz operation, where the nRF51422 is on-air-compatible with the nRF24L and nRF24AP series products from Nordic Semiconductor. NRF51422 also incorporates analog and digital peripherals that can interact without CPU intervention through the Programmable Peripheral Interface (PPI) system. A flexible 31-pin GPIO mapping scheme allows I/O such as serial interfaces, PWM and quadrature demodulator to be mapped to any device pin as dictated by PCB requirements. This enables complete design flexibility associated with pin-out location and function. NRF51422 supports an embedded S210 ANT protocol stack from Dynastream Innovations as well as 2.4GHz protocol stacks, including Gazell, both available free of charge in the nRF514 Software Development Kit. NRF51422 requires a single power supply and gives the user the option of using on chip linear regulators giving a supply range of 1.8-3.6V, a direct 1.8V mode and a on chip DCDC buck converter giving a supply range of 2.1-3.6V. The use of the DC-DC converter can be dynamically controlled during run time and enables nRF51422 to operate at radio peak currents below 10mA @ 3V supply (TX @ 0dBm & RX).
